Some Canyon wildlife: a lizard, telling me something...
The first (live) bighorn sheep we saw, having a drink...

The ravens were aggressive, and we were warned that they would steal shiny things from our bags, and would target ziplocks in particular. This warning was substantiated later in the trip when we were playing bocce at camp at National Canyon, and a raven was watching closely, and waiting...Clay started a new round with a long throw of the small white ball, and a raven grabbed it the second it hit the ground, and flew off with it. Anthony (and eventually I) followed the raven to the ledge where it had landed, but we never found the ball, or any of the rest of the cache of stolen objects it probably had up there somewhere.
