First night's camp (7/5), at mile 13, right bank. This was the only ledge camp we had, where we slept on smooth rock (not sand). I was not quite adjusted yet and didn't sleep too much until I moved to the kitchen in the middle of the night. The moon was bright! So bright in fact that my father slept with his hat on for a few nights around the full moon (7/7).
