A little evening entertainment in camp: Chrissy throws a horseshoe while Debbie awaits her turn. Walt is having a beer!
Other camp games included bocce in the rough, among the rocks and bushes of camp, which might have no resemblance to real bocce, but was great fun.
I also really enjoyed a grueling round of the rope-ammo-can game vs. Roger: put two small (30 caliber?) ammo cans about 20 feet apart in the sand, lay out a long rope between the two cans so that it extends about 15 feet behind each can, and pile the extra in the middle. Then, each person stands on an ammo can, and picks up the line. The point of the game is to either get all of the rope, or make the other person fall off the can. As my father pointed out, a lower center of gravity is a big advantage!
