Sylvie and Mummy, San Juan Island

New Dungeness Lighthouse and museum, with its great sand, rocks, driftwood, wildlife (Harlequin ducks)....This is at (almost) the end of the Dungeness Spit, the longest sand spit in the world.  It's accessible by boat or via a 5-mile walk (each way) along the spit, which takes you through the Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge.
