We took a 3-hour tourist cruise around the harbor of Singapore yesterday with Cheng Ho Watertours. The size and number of ships was hard to capture with the camera - huge ships were anchored nearly as far as we could see, with smaller ones closer in to the piers, and we saw some steaming off eastward into the Pacific. The skyline of Singapore makes up one side of the anchorage and the low hills of Indonesian islands the other. It is claimed that this is the busiest port in the world (Rotterdam and Shanghai also make the same claim, but it depends on how you quantify it).
