Thursday we went to Sentosa Island, just off the southernmost point of Singapore, and as such the southernmost point of continental Asia. Finisterre Singapore-style is on its way to being a giant amusement park of sorts, with a viewing tower, aquarium, butterfly garden, beaches and resorts, a 'luge' (on water?), and lots of very high-end housing going in. The big attraction for me though was the Volvo Ocean Race Village where the boats are docked during the Singapore stopover. When we got to the 'village' the boats were out on a shakedown sail but the kids found the giant inflatable ball station and were entertained for hours.
Here's Sylvie, about to be launched

Sylvie after she got the hang of standing up in it

Henry taking a rest. I did it too but just floated around lying down, to protect my knee. It gets mighty hot in there after just a few minutes in the Singaporean sun!
