We went out last week in the brand-new MIT catboat, launched just a few days earlier. See http://sailing.mit.edu/future/catboat.php
Great boat and a great day! Ken Legler, the Tufts sailing coach, took these pictures.

Just after the start of Leg 7 of the Volvo Ocean Race, in Boston Inner Harbor. They are Galway bound! Lucky for us the starting gun malfunctioned and they had to restart, so although we had to do some creative detours to avoid traffic we didn't miss it. We found a little dead-end street on a hill above the water in East Boston with an excellent view. As before (see my January Singapore pics) my photos don't do justice to the scene, especially since the fog was starting to roll in. It has been pretty neat to be at two different port calls for this race (although I confess we never actually went down to Fan Pier).
